Keeping Active

Staying mobile and physically active is central to self care as we get older. It can be tempting to decide that we cannot be very active any more. This is an out-dated idea as more and more older people are taking up new sports or other activities. Walking groups have never been more popular, which is unsurprising given they can improve everything from blood pressure to mental health.

There are a number of activities available to older people in Bracknell Forest that can help to keep you fit and active.

FallsFree4Life Well Balanced classes

These strength and balance classes are available free of charge to any resident aged 65 and over in Bracknell Forest who is at risk of falling. The classes last for 12 weeks and are continuous throughout the year, meaning no waiting to start! A falls risk assessment needs to be undertaken by a member of our FallsFree4Life team before starting classes. For more information:

 Back to Fitness
