Health Visiting

The Bracknell Forest health visiting team is an excellent source of professional advice and support to parents and carers of children under five years of age.  They can give advice on a wide range of topics, such as breastfeeding, weaning, teething, sleeping and immunisations.

The service is usually notified of all pregnancies and births from the midwife service and informed of all new families with under-fives registering with a GP in Berkshire.

However, parents and carers can also refer themselves to the service.

If you are pregnant, you will be offered a visit from about 28-weeks. When you have had your baby, they will aim to visit you at home when your child is 14-days-old.

You can also contact the health visiting service through the duty health visitor – telephone number 0300 365 6000.

You may prefer to attend one of the child health clinics in Bracknell Forest, where no appointment is needed.
