General information
These 10 walks have been created with the aim of promoting physical and mental wellbeing through exercise. Most are approx. 2 miles in length and will take about an hour, however all are suitable for adults of all ages.
Many are centred on Bracknell’s magnificent green spaces such as South Hill Park, Cabbage Hill, and Peacock Meadow.
As we are going to be walking through the summer months, please ensure that you bring plenty of water, wear sunscreen and a hat, and make sure that you provide your walk leader with an in case of emergency number.
Walks do not require specialist walking boots, but please ensure that your clothing, and footwear are appropriate for an hour-long walk. Because of stiles, gates, narrow paths or woodland tracks, the following walks are unsuitable for pushchairs, wheelchairs or strollers – Binfield, Cabbage Hill, Lily Hill Park, Peacock Meadow and Westmorland Park.
Please Note – there is no access to toilet facilities on the following walk routes; Buckler’s Forest (until Community Hub opens) or at Peacock Meadow.
There is car parking at the start point of most walks, but please consider using public transport, or cycle/walk to the start – we need to ensure the well-being of the environment too. Walks will depart promptly as advertised, so please ensure you are at meet point at least 5 minutes beforehand.
