Physical activity workshops for professionals

Group of cheerful diverse friends in the park
Does your role involve improving the physical activity of Bracknell Forest residents? If you are a frontline worker or a professional working with residents to improve their physical health, we would like to hear your views at one of our physical activity workshops for professionals.
Bracknell Forest public health is working with the Public Health Intervention Responsive Studies Team (PHIRST) at London South Bank University to evaluate the Bracknell Forest health and wellbeing physical activity service. This service is funded by the Bracknell Forest public health team and delivered by Everyone Active, a leading provider of leisure services. The service aims to encourage physical activity to improve the health, and quality of life, for residents.
We have prepared a draft mapping of the physical activity system in Bracknell Forest. This mapping shows the individual, interpersonal or social, organisational, and environmental or societal elements of the system that influence or inhibit sedentary adults taking up physical activity.
We would like to hear your views on how we can improve the service and identify any gaps. Your feedback will help us to improve the support we offer and how we can further encourage residents to be more physically active.
If you would like to find out more about the workshop, and how you can contribute to improving physical activity in Bracknell Forest, please register through the links below to attend a workshop with public health and PHIRST South Bank. There will also be an opportunity to ask any questions you have about the service.
There are two workshops taking place:
- Monday 25 September, 1pm to 4pm at the Open Learning Centre, Rectory Road, Bracknell, RG12 7GR (free lunch will be provided) – register
- Thursday 28 September, 1pm to 3pm on Microsoft Teams – register
